The first garden tractor puller, nicknamed Geo, started with a John Deere 140 garden tractor and a trip to the salvage yard for a Geo Metro 3 cylinder car engine with only 4000 miles on it We removed the engine in the John Deere 140 garden tractor and the Geo engine was mounted ahead of the hydrostatic transmission. A gas peddle was installed so it could be driven just like a car. We converted the engine from fuel injection to a 4 barrel carburetor. Three single pipes were installed for the exhaust system so it could breath better. The engine ran about 6000 RPM. We used this tractor for garden tractor pulling. Needless to say, when running this tractor down the blacktop in a tractor pull the tires would be squealing the entire way. A clipart was made for us to use as our logo from a professional photograph taken of the Geo while it was still in use as a garden tractor puller. This video is of the 2nd "GEO", the engine was also installed in a John Deere 317 garden tractor and used as a garden tractor puller. Thanks to Start Woodworth for this video of the Geo from many years ago. All of Jim's older garden tractor pullers were destroyed in our shop fire in 2002. Just a Short Video of my 12 yr.old Murray 48" cut Riding Mower Tractor - with a 16.5 hp Briggs & Stratton, that never been rebuilt , I keep it maintained myself with regular Oil Changes and my Mower Deck properly greased & lubed, and all the Belts adjusted, and its Never stored outside - always stored in my Garage, along with my other Craftsman DYT4000 Riding Mower Tractor ( See Video). Keeping these properly Well Maintained and "NOT" treating them like their toys and rough housing around on them, and you'll have a lot less problems, and NOT have to work on them as often, that goes for all Mowers ! Keep an Eye for Cracked Fuel lines, change the Fuel Filter often, change the Oil regularly, and the tires properly inflated, and keep those Mower Deck Spindel / Mandrel Housings properly Greased - and the Blades Sharpened , and a good Battery, you'll hardly have a Problem with your Riding Mower Tractor ! Also, I try as much as possible NOT to mow in Extreme Heat of the day, usually Early in the mornings or in the Evenings after 6pm in the Summer, that helps on the Engine and the rest of the mower, especially the belts & Bearings in the mower Deck. Also keeping all the Grass removed off the top of the Mower Deck, after mowing really helps, I use an Electric Leaf Blower to remove all the Grass Clippings off the top of the Mower Deck, from around the pulleys and Spindels and belts, after every mowing, and I've got 1.5 Acres to mow, along with helping some of the neighbors mow ...

This is an update on the 81 LTV10, soon to be an LTV12 with a 12 hp briggs and stratton instead of its POS unfixable 10hp briggs. This tractor will be a tow and recovery rig for towing tractors around the yard, and when I go pick up tractors that are buried up in weeds and small trees. This tractor was actually found that way, it had a tree growing through the deck, all the tires were flat, had weeds all around it and in it, and had to be towed out with my buddys ford truck(we didn't take my truck that day). This tractor will also be getting an upgrade to a 5 speed transaxle over the orginal 2 speed unit. The overall look of the tractor will be a rat rod, with a nicely painted red engine with chrome parts. Its gonna be SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just got this one for free. Its all hacked up but its very heavy duty. cast iron front end, heavy steering links and cast iron steering gears. Has peerless 5spd and 12hp briggs. Motor runs good. I had it running for a minute or so and it didn't smoke and ran great. This tractor needs a lot of work, but I'm gonna fix it. To good of a tractor to scrap for parts. It was raced at one time. I don't thing its the original engine due to the crooked mounting and the fact that I cant get the aircleaner cover off. Anyone have any info on this this feel free to shoot me a line.

I did another pully swap and new exhaust, I put dual exhaust on it underneath, and had it come out at a 45 degree angle in front of the rear tires. The new exhaust looks and sounds beter than the old stack I had on it. With the new pully swap, it goes about 25MPH. It used to do 16MPH.

My New John Deere 210!

For some time, I had been looking into purchasing a lawn and garden tractor. The LA150 is a great tractor, but it's only meant to mow the lawn, and it struggles performing many of the tasks that a garden tractor could handle. I have lots of farmland and woods around my place and I don't really like taking the LA150 through it all. I wanted a tractor that could have hydraulics, ag tires, etc. I have had some experience with my uncle's 1986 318, which is an absolute tank. They are long-lasting, reliable, and high quality. So I was out to look for a 318. Unfortunately, 318's are rather expensive to purchase nowadays because of their high value, so I knew my chances of getting one were slim. So on eBay one day, I came across a 210. It's basically a smaller version of the 318, with a Kohler engine (which I liked), a manual transmission, and no hydraulics, but hydraulics could be added on. It was in good running condition, with a faulty PTO and a 39" mower deck. It was in the tri-state area so I grabbed it for under 0. My uncle sent his hired help to go down with his Ford Ranger and pick it up. He easily found his way to the guy's place. He was back in six hours, and he dropped the tractor off at my house when I wasn't home, so it was quite a surprise! I have many plans to restore and add things on to this tractor, and I think it will be a great project!

So how about some normality for a change..... Remember the EVIL SABRE??? Its no more...its been totally moddifed and rebuilt, The 14.5 OHV(AHO) motor is long gone in place of a more reliable 11hp Flat head briggs. Wiring has all been ripped out, and redone, has had a custom/rigged snow plow attachment welded on, a huge push bumper welded on, massive rear tires have been fitted, and interchangable weights have been added to the rear to aid in traction. This thing is a BEAST!!! It has tons of power for a little 11hp, and can move alot of weight around now.

Like if you take the ether out of starting fluid, they won't be able to find any ether, right?....LMFAO...Stupidity prevails!!! Used to have a lot of ether in it. Used to work a lot BETTER. Now it's pretty much crap. Heptane. sucks. Anyway, what you want in the tire is a nice explosive mix of starting fluid and air. You may need to spray a little more if it's cool. Another way is to use propane. Take a wire, or a skinny round file, and push down the valve in a propane bottle (the kind that comes with a propane torch, or the fat kind that comes with a coleman ...

For years I suffered mowing hills with standard turf tires because people told me that chevrons (or lugs) would tear up my lawn. Not so. I actually tear up my lawn LESS with the AT101 chevron tires than I did with turf tires. Always follow the safety guidelines in the owners manual. This video is about my experience mowing hills and slopes with my Zero turn mower and how I am much better off after buying these Carlisle AT101 tires (24x12x12). This is not a recommendation on how you should mow your lawn, refer to the owners manual for that information.

Then I customized my cat 0 scrape blade to turn side to side so I wouldn't have to keep getting off the tractor to set the blade.I also made the 3 point where it would have down pressure. A lot of work and $ for such a simple operation. I'm building a hydraulic dump trailer next.
